Old age..a horror of today

Old age ,the worst horror of today..true that's what I feel when i see the old elderly people all around.Technology & developements are soaring high & high,along with it aged people are stranded in big houses  alone with their ailments,Alzhiemers,Parkinsons & what not.They are lucky if the couple are intact,husband & wife having almost same life span,at least they have each other to support & console,but unfortunately many are not so lucky.                                                                                                                                                  They had once been vibrant active people ,full of energy ,proud of their children ,Their family may have been the most envious one in their community,happiness overloaded.They must have send their children to the best schools.given them the best facilities possible .As the children grew & flourished the grey hairs overcame the black ones on the parents .The baby birds were now full fledged,they flew  to higher & higher zones where they could mint more & more money..maybe that was their parents dream,that fly the highest . The higher they went the parents grew older & older.                                                                                        Money minting became the craze of them..or can say the craze of the generation, though they had more than enough,nothing seemed enough for them. . More than their parents they were interested in their properties ,emotionally blackmailing them ,telling them the hazards of the future of their children,cost of living blah blah blah. Coming homes were not according to their parents needs or happiness but according to their needs .The main aim to transfer the properties to their own names..The selfishness of today's society, never noticing the increase in grey hairs ,more dark wrinkles,the changes in the thickness of their reading glasses,The beautiful straight posture that they had,was starting to bend .Its Old age .saying that just shoved the thoughts to another important issues.                                                                                                                After the main aim was achieved,they really heaved a sigh of relief,now no worries at all ,then the drama started of over acting ,to show that they really cared.. ahem ahem...                                                             So many stories are visible all around us today,with the emerging of home nursing agencies & old age homes too.This is really saddening,a chinese story comes to my mind.A father & son had gone for shopping.They bought beautiful  & costly crockery .While going back the father stopped near a shop of utensils of very cheap quality.As the father asked the shopkeeper to pack one utensil,the boy asked ' Father why are you buying this ugly utensil ? '.The father replied 'Grandfather's hands have started shaking now,he has broken many costly crockery,its for him son '. ' Oh  Father then buy two,You may also need it soon,' The father stood frozen still. Irony of life.
